It's My Bloggy - Celebrating 101
I thank you, tribe of good people, who read my work here and on blogher.com. Your comments mean a lot.
I find blogging and having an audience validates me as a writer and a thinker and a regular, old human-being. Here's what I "dig" about blogging. (I know that's a throw back word but it works for me!)
Blogging:
- is a kind of high;
- ends the isolation one often feels as an unknown writer;
- helps me discipline myself to write everyday (although I only post entries eery other day most times);
- is free (requiring only my ideas, time and energy);
- forces me to solidify my opinions;
- connects me to a world-wide community of bloggers, many of whom simply slay me with their analysis, skill and humor;
- makes me feel less loop-de-loo.
I plan to blog for the foreseeable future and hope that you will continue to enjoy my writing. It's my bloggy and I'll write when I want to, write what I want to, write how I want to. You would write too if the stuff that happens to me, happened to you." (An imperfect version of the lyrics from the original song, but I've been waiting to use it for a while and won't let a little imperfection stop me now.)
(Side Request that has nothing to do with this entry. My handsome and talented son is a trained actor who lives in NYC and has been doing voice-overs imitating Sen. Barrack Obama's voice. He would really like to get an audition with Saturday Night Live but hasn't figured out how to get a shot. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd be most appreciative. Proud Mama.)

Congratulations! And thanks for the inspiration. By the way, I'm sure you have thousands waiting to come out.
And you know what's amazing about that? What's a gift to you, is also a gift to the rest of the world - or it sure has been to me! ~LeeA
Congratulations. Have your son call Loren Michael's office at NBC. Have him ask for both Loren and the Head writer (might be good to find out who that is)
Will do - Candelaria
