Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Thank you. There. You try it.
Say: thank you. Write: Thank you.
It’s not so hard to do, is it?
Two simple words that mean a lot.
Thank you…
- For the gift
- For the recommendation.
- For that wonderful meal.
- For listening.
- For the loan (repayment enclosed)
- For the experience.
- For last night.
- For loving me.
- For raising me.
- For the photo.
- For doing your chores without being asked.
- For all those things you do that keep this family, house, office, company going.
- For noticing.
- For the compliment.
- For being in my life.
- For volunteering.
- For showing up.
- For doing what you said you would.
- For being.
A thank you is always appreciated, never comes too late even if long overdue.
It doesn’t have to be lengthy. Got it? Do it.
(Thank you for reading this post.)

..and thank you! As a child I never quite
understood the need for thanks yous - it was just something expected. Then
I became a spouse,a parent and a member of various communities and understood! As you say, it doesn't take much time, but it makes ALL the difference.

This brings to mind a vacation in Western Mass a couple of summers ago. The Crane paper museum in Dalton has a souvenir pamphlet on how to write a thank you note (of course they want you to use Crane paper. They now have a .pdf you can download and their example is written to Barbara!
Thank you for reminding me of that.

I'll check out the Crane Company's pdf. (I've been thinking about getting stationery but then I collect and send a wide variety of cards so maybe not). Thanks for sharing this anecdote.
